From trauma to triumph.

B2K's Foundation raises funds to support youth and young adults who have been victims of or involved in violent crime, human trafficking, or abuse — pairing mental health resources with practical support so they can heal, rebuild, and become productive citizens.

Our Mission

Trauma doesn't end when the crime does.

It shows up in classrooms, in relationships, and in futures still waiting to be built. B2K's Foundation stands with youth and young adults whose lives have been touched by violent crime, human trafficking, and abuse in the Greater Baton Rouge region.

We raise funds and partner with our community to open doors that too often stay closed: mental health counseling, trauma-informed support, and the practical resources young survivors need to heal and move forward.

"Our mission is simple but urgent — to help every young person we serve move beyond what happened to them and become who they're meant to be."

The Problem

Baton Rouge's young people are carrying a weight no child should.

Behind every number is a name, a family, and a future. These are the realities our young people face in our city and our state.

15
juveniles killed in East Baton Rouge Parish in 2026 through September — up from 9 in all of 2025.
80%
of trafficking victims served in Louisiana in 2025 were 17 years old or younger.
+538%
increase in Louisiana minors receiving services for sex trafficking since 2017.
70%
of local young men convicted of murder did not finish high school — a call for early intervention, not punishment.

Proposed Programs

Four pathways, built around healing.

Our fundraising is organized around four connected pathways — designed so every dollar raised moves a young person from surviving to thriving.

Focus Area 01

B2K Cares — Mental Health & Counseling

Our first priority: raise funds to connect young survivors with licensed, trauma-informed therapists and help cover the costs insurance and families can't. Group counseling, crisis support, and consistent care — because healing is the foundation everything else is built on.

B2K Rising — Youth Development

We aim to fund mentorship, tutoring, and life-skills programming that help young people rebuild stability — staying in school, finding their strengths, and stepping into productive adulthood.

B2K Freedom — Trafficking Survivor Support

Planned emergency assistance, safe connections, and sustained case support for youth and young adults escaping trafficking and exploitation — meeting survivors where they are, without judgment.

Focus Area 04

B2K Voices — Community Advocacy & Awareness

Community education, survivor storytelling, and partnerships with schools, faith communities, and law enforcement to prevent violence and trafficking before they start — and to make sure every survivor knows they are not alone.

Every sunrise is proof that beginnings are possible.

Healing isn't a straight line, and no one should walk it alone. With your support, we can put a counselor, a mentor, and a community in the corner of a young person who needs one.

Our Goals

What your support will make possible.

We measure success one young person at a time — in three outcomes we're building toward.

Healing — every young survivor we serve has access to sustained, trauma-informed mental health care.
— Goal: B2K Cares
Stability — safe housing connections, emergency support, and a network that catches young people before they fall.
— Goal: B2K Freedom
Future — back in school, into work, and into productive adulthood, with a mentor in their corner.
— Goal: B2K Rising
